Abstract

 This effort aims to reveal the correlation between the forward-looking leadership of principals of secondary schools and its relationship to the self-censorship of teachers in the Governorate of Zarqa. The researcher used the descriptive correlation method. A questionnaire constituted of (43) items was developed and distributed; it is composed from three main fields. The questionnaire’s validity and reliability were checked. A stratified random method was used for sampling (346) teachers. The degree of practicing forward-looking leadership came to a high degree. Also, forward-looking leadership according to gender, practical experience, and educational qualification, and that the level of self-control among teachers derived to a high degree. There are no notable statistical variances observed based on the factors of gender, practical experience, and educational background. Whereas there is a statistically significant positive correlation between the degree of leadership practice, the prospectiveness of principals and the level of self-control among teachers. Paying attention to training school principals and empowering them professionally; setting goals that increase self-monitoring for teachers; and adopting methods of participation in decision-making.
