Abstract

The study aimed to find out the level of creative thinking and its relationship to the level of skillful performance in breaststroke swimming among students of the Faculty of Sports Sciences at Mutah University. Where the descriptive correlation method was used. The study sample consisted of (55) students in the swimming course at the College of Sports Sciences at Mutah University. The sample was selected by the purposive method. Where the creative thinking scale was used, which consisted of (19) items, and the skill performance scale, which consisted of (12) items. The results of the study showed that the level of creative thinking among students at the macro level was at a high level. While the results showed that the skillful performance was at an average level. The results showed that there is a positive correlation between creative thinking and skill level. The study concluded with several recommendations, the most important of which is the generalization of the results of the study to decision makers to identify the importance of creative thinking on skillful performance in the practice of water sports.
