The study adopted the discourse analysis approach in light of text linguistics. To reveal the objectives of discourse through analyzing language, which is a tool for communication, influence and persuasion between the sender and the recipient. It aimed to demonstrate the effect of language in directing the recipient towards the objectives of the discourse. This is by analyzing the speech of His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein to Jordanian men and women at the national event on the occasion of the silver jubilee of His Majesty assuming his constitutional powers. It sought to analyze the macro-macro and micro-structures that make up it, trying to read the text and context according to the tools of linguistic consistency that make meaning the basis for understanding any structure, and interpreting the political, cultural, religious and social dimensions included in the structures of discourse. The study concluded that the rhetorical methods used by His Majesty are consistent with the diversity of the tools of the internal textual structure of the discourse, including its vocabulary, structures, and composing sentences, and its linguistic and non-linguistic context at the lexical, syntactic, and semantic levels, This speech drew semantic dimensions for the silver jubilee speech in the minds and hearts of Jordanians, and clarifies their relationship with His Majesty the King, which is considered an extension from the past to the present and an anticipation of the future of achievement.
